Save-A-Lot building new headquarters in St. Louis County

ST. ANN, Mo. – Grocery store company Save-A-Lot is keeping their headquarters in the St. Louis area, as the company plans to build a new headquarters in St. Ann.

The new headquarters will bring 64 jobs and retain more than 450 already in the area. The plan was announced late last week.

The company began with a single store in Cahokia, Illinois, in 1977 and has expanded far beyond the St. Louis area. They now have more than 1,000 stores in 36 states.

The mixed-use building will go up at The Crossings at Northwest in St. Ann. The facility already houses companies including Starbucks and Menards.

The plan is pending approval of state and local incentives.
