ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL — Saint Louis University said Monday it will begin construction on a $50 million interdisciplinary science and engineering building in November.
The 90,000-square-foot, three-story building will be located on the southern edge of Tegeler Field, east of Ritter Hall on its campus. A completion date is set for summer 2020.
SLU will fund the project through a bond issue that will be repaid over a period of years, the university said in a statement.
The building will feature innovative teaching environments and flexible lab space. SLU plans to seek leadership in energy and environmental design (LEED) silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
