St. Ann man struck by 2 vehicles and killed while trying to cross road Tuesday night

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A St. Ann man was killed after being struck by two cars while trying to cross a road Tuesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the victim as Bryan Maide-Shead, 33. 

The incident happened just after 9 p.m. on Missouri Route 180, also known as St. Charles Rock Road, east of Dehart Place in Breckenridge Hills. According to a crash report from MSHP, a Ford F350 and an unknown dark-colored car were driving eastbound when Maide-Shead tried to cross the roadway. 

The Ford was unable to stop and struck him. He landed in the roadway, where he was then struck by the second car.

The unknown driver of the second car then drove away, MSHP said. 

Maide-Shead was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 20-year-old driver of the Ford was not injured.
