'We can do this Saint Louis' | Planetarium lights up with inspiring message

The message was displayed on the planetarium's south side, visible to essential workers as they passed by on Interstate 64

ST. LOUIS — Amidst the uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, the Saint Louis Science Center is sending an inspiring message to the community.

On Monday night, the James S. McDonnell Planetarium's signature dome was lit bright blue with the message "We can do this Saint Louis. #STLMADE."

"With stay-at-home orders extended in both St. Louis City and County #STLMade, the Saint Louis Science Center and Switch experiential marketing agency have partnered to bring a message of encouragement and unity to St. Louis," the science center said.

The message was displayed on the planetarium's south side, visible to essential workers as they passed by on Interstate 64.

"We are in this together," the science center wrote Monday on Twitter.

The message will appear again Tuesday night.
