St. Louis will host hundreds of youth soccer teams for 2021 regional championships

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Hundreds of youth soccer teams will swarm to St. Louis for a tournament that could bring millions of dollars to the area.

The Creve Coeur Park and Lou Fusz soccer complexes will host the 2021 Midwest Regional Championships, a six-day event from June 25 through June 30. The St. Louis Sports Commission said the event will bring more than 200 teams of boys and girls from 14 states as part of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series.

County Executive Steve Stenger said he thinks the visitors will bring $10 million to the region.

The St. Louis Sports Commission worked to bring the event to St. Louis for the first time.
