Woman dies after medical event, crash at Rockwood Valley Middle School

The woman's car drove off the parking lot and into a creek. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Two tow trucks were used to get the car out of the creek.

WILDWOOD, Mo. – A woman waiting to pick up a student from Rockwood Valley Middle School died after having a medical event that resulted in a crash Monday afternoon.

St. Louis County Police said a 63-year-old woman was waiting in her car outside the school at around 2:25 when she suffered a medical event. Her car drove off the parking lot, down an embankment and into a creek.

She was rushed to the hospital shortly after police arrived. She was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

Only one car was involved in the incident, and the woman was the only person in the car.
