LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. — A woman was killed when a truck crossed into her lane on Highway 79 and hit her vehicle head-on.
The crash ended up involving three vehicles on Highway 79 in Lincoln County near the Cuivre River Bridge. The crash shut down the highway while investigators checked out the scene.
A Dodge Ram veered into the path of Zola Rodey's Jeep Cherokee and hit her head-on, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. The 60-year-old woman died at the scene.
After hitting Rodey's SUV, the truck flipped over and hit a third car. The driver of the truck suffered serious injuries. The driver of the third vehicle wasn't injured.
The MSHP hasn't said what led to the head-on crash.
