Woman killed in Wentzville hit-and-run

Wentzville police believe she was having car trouble and got out of her car to get help when she was hit.

WENTZVILLE, Mo. — A 33-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run Monday night.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. near E. Pitman Avenue.

Wentzville police believe she was having car trouble and got out of her car to get help when she was hit.

When crews arrived on the scene, several people were there and tried to give her CPR.

She was taken to the hospital where she died. She hasn't been identified yet. 

Wentzville police are asking for the public’s help in finding who is responsible. Anyone with any information on this incident should contact the Wentzville Police Department at (636) 327-5105.

UPDATE*** Westbound Hwy 70 is now open and still moving very slow... . Please be careful, we will post updates as needed. MoDot has closed westbound Hwy 70 starting at Wentzville Parkway. Unfortunately, due to the ice, traffic is backed up to Hwy Z. Eastbound Hwy 70 is still open however moving very slow.
