Someone in Illinois is waking up a millionaire Thursday.
A ticket sold in the Land of Lincoln matched all five white balls in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, winning a $1 million prize. Lottery officials haven’t yet said exactly where in Illinois that ticket was sold.
The winning numbers were 5-25-38-52-67 and Powerball 24.
One ticket sold in New York matched all six numbers. The jackpot was an estimated $298 million with a cash option of $180 million.
The jackpot will reset to $40 million for the next drawing on Saturday, Dec. 29.
On Christmas night, a ticket sold in Chesterfield matched five Mega Millions numbers, netting quite the Christmas present: a $1 million prize.
No one won the Mega Millions jackpot, so the prize has risen to $328 million for Friday night's drawing.
