MIAMI — A Florida high school student should be celebrating her SAT score but instead, she is having to defend it.
Kamilah Campbell got a 900 and when she took it seven months later, she got a 1220. Now the people who run the testing believe she may have cheated, NBC Station WTVJ in Miami reported.
They marked her scores invalid pending an investigation.
“You're putting forth a lot of hours, and to have your effort taken away from you and them saying, ‘Oh well, we think you cheated,’” Campbelll said. “It's not fair.”
Kamiliah is fighting back. She submitted a letter from her tutor - as well as books and online material she used while studying.
She hopes to attend Florida State University this fall.
