An Indiana family's faith has been restored. More than two years after a family heirloom was lost, it has been returned thanks to a fisherman and social media.

Josh King wears a medallion for his son who passed away back in 2004. While on a rafting trip, it fell off.

Fast forward nearly three years, a fisherman found the medallion and posted the picture on social media.

"it has a lot of sentimental value to my family and to my kids,” King told NBC station WNDU in South Bend, Indiana. “For this guy to find it two-and-a-half years later at the bottom of the river, it just doesn't happen.”

Josh says it was fate.

He had bought a ring to replace his medallion, and on the day he got the call it was found he had misplaced that ring.
