Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has grand plans for his new home in the Nation's Capital.
Last year, Bezos acquired the former Textile Museum in Washington, D.C.'s Kalorama neighborhood, a 27,000-square-foot property placing him near new neighbors the Obamas, as well as President Trump's daughter, Ivanka, and husband Jared Kushner.
Bezos has planned a $12 million renovation, and The Washingtonian has secured blueprints detailing the plan through a public records request.
Once complete, the mansion will include 11 bedrooms, five living rooms/lounges, a huge ballroom, a walk-in wine room and large whiskey cellar, according to their documents.
The Washingtonian reports the old museum makes up two buildings: the Pope house and Wood house. The Pope house will serve as Bezos' family residence, while the Wood house will serve primarily for entertaining.
Bezos might have plenty of reasons to spend more time in D.C. Three locations — D.C., Northern Virginia, and Montgomery County, Md. — are among the 20 regions clamoring to host Amazon's second headquarters.
The tech giant said the new HQ could bring as many as 50,000 new jobs and investment of as much as $5 billion.
