ST. LOUIS – Another Billiken is getting a chance in the NBA.

Saint Louis University guard Tramaine Isabell Jr. announced he will play in this year’s NBA Summer League with the LA Clippers.

Isabell was named the ‘most outstanding player’ of the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship as he helped the Billikens win four games in four days to punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament.

He averaged 17.3 ppg and 6.0 apg in the A-10 tourney, which included a 24 point, six assist outing in the quarterfinals against Dayton and a 19 point, eight assist game against Davidson in the semifinals.

In his one year at Saint Louis, Isabell was second on the team with 13.7 ppg and led the Billikens with 127 assists.

Isabell began his collegiate career at the University of Missouri, playing in 55 games from 2014-16. He spent his junior year at Drexel in 2017-18, leading the Dragons with 21.0 ppg. Isabell played a key part in Drexel's NCAA record 34-point comeback win over Delaware, finishing with 29 points and 12 rebounds. He tested the NBA draft waters following his junior year but returned to school and grad-transferred to Saint Louis.

The NBA Summer League begins on July 5.

Javon Bess is also expected to play in the NBA Summer League with the New Orleans Pelicans after he signed a free agent contract with the team.
