Blues fans encouraged to use cellphone lights Friday night in honor of Ari Dougan

Turn your cellphone flashlight on during the puck drop at the Blues game Friday night.

ST. LOUIS - Fans attending the Blues game Friday night are encouraged to use their cellphone flashlights during the puck drop to help spread Ari’s light.

Ari passed away earlier this month after an eight-year battle with cancer. Her family will drop the puck prior to Friday’s game. The 11-year-old joined Vladmir Tarasenko on the road last March as a one-of-a-kind experience.

The Blues will also wear bedazzled jerseys during Friday’s warm-ups as a tribute to Ari.

Five youth players who have battled cancer will join Blues players on the ice during the national anthem, which will be performed by Eva Millar-Galvan, a cancer survivor and officer for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
