COLUMBIA, Mo. — After an 8-4 regular season, the No. 23 Missouri Tigers were picked to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the Liberty Bowl on New Year's Eve.
The game will be played in Memphis at 2:45 Central time. The Tigers and Cowboys have a long history together as both were members of the Big 8 and Big 12. Mizzou has won 29 of the 52 meetings between the teams.
The Tigers will enter the game on a four-game winning streak. Oklahoma State has a 6-6 record and lost three of their last four games. Three of the team's six wins were against teams ranked in the top 25 at the end of the season.
The game will be Mizzou's third appearance in the Liberty Bowl. The last was in 1980.
