Harrison Bader activated off the IL for series finale with Brewers

With Bader now healthy, the Cardinals have some tough decisions to make when it comes to their starting outfield.

ST. LOUIS — The Cardinals have activated Harrison Bader off the 10-day injured list ahead of the club's series finale with Milwaukee on Wednesday.

To make room for Bader, starer Daniel Ponce de Leon was optioned back to AAA Memphis following his spot start on Tuesday for Michael Wacha.

So far this season, Bader is batting .179 with two home runs and five RBI in 13 games for the Cardinals.

There now appears to be a bit of a logjam in the St. Louis outfield, with Dexter Fowler and Jose Martinez both swinging hot bats, Marcell Ozuna impressing with power and Bader returning to the fold.

Things will only get more complicated when Tyler O'Neill gets off the IL, and is expected to rejoin the big league club.
