ST. LOUIS — Hoisting the Cup is every hockey player’s dream and when a team finally succeeds in claiming the Cup, these guys make the most of it.

The next day after winning the Stanley Cup, hockey teams usually take the Cup around while they are partying and celebrating their victory.

Here are some of the craziest things ever done to this magnificent trophy.

Kentucky Derby winner with the Cup:

After the New York Rangers won the 1994 Stanley Cup, the guys took the trophy to Belmont Park and fed Kentucky Derby winner Go for Gin out of the Cup.

Mark Messier and the strip club:

After the Edmonton Oliers won the Stanley Cup in 1988, the players crossed the street from the stadium to the nearby strip club, the Forum Inn. The Cup apparently got dinged up and had to be taken to a local repair stop.  Messier had the Cup on six different occasions.

Swimming with the Cup:

The Penguins won their first Cup in 1991 and decided it was a good idea to take it for a swim?

The players had a heated debate about whether the Cup could float, so Phil Bourque decided test the waters and grabbed the Cup and jumped into Mario Lemieux’s pool. As predicted, it sank to the bottom. It almost got stuck down there too.

Big bowl of cereal:

Everyone loves cereal but what's better than a big bowl of cereal and enjoying out of the Stanley Cup? Blackhawks Andrew Desjardins decided to eat Lucky Charms out of the Cup after they won in 2015.

Ice cream in a cup:

After the Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2006, Doug Weight brought the Cup to his house and let his kids eat ice cream out of it.

The New York fire:

The New York Rangers won the Cup in 1940 and things got a little out of control. Somehow in the mist of their celebration, the Cup caught fire and the players decided to put the fire out by urinating on it. Probably not the best idea but whatever works.

The Red Wing accident:

This only probably tops them all... after the Detroit Red Wings won the Stanley Cup in 2008, Kris Draper put his newborn baby daughter in Cup and she had an accident in it. Apparently after that, Draper cleaned it out and still drank out of it the very same day.

Big bowl of pasta:

It seems the Cup has been used as a serving dish for quite a few players. Nick Bonino won consecutive Stanley Cups with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016-2017 and he celebrated with the trophy by eating a big serving of pasta out of it.

While there are still many other crazy stories on how NHL players have celebrated with the Stanley Cup, it will be interesting to see if the St. Louis Blues come up with any original ways to celebrate with the Cup after claiming their first championship with it.

Maybe we will get an interesting story based on this picture from their plane ride.
