Meet the 2018 St. Louis Cardinals

After a busy offseason of roster moves, coaching changes and player promotions, the Cardinals will look quite different to start the season.

The St. Louis Cardinals will start the 2018 season Thursday in New York in a day game against the Mets.

After a busy offseason of roster moves, coaching changes and player promotions, the Cardinals will look quite different to start the season.

One of the biggest surprises for many fans was the late promotion of young fireballer Jordan Hicks, who took a roster spot from 2017 bullpen standout John Brebbia. Another rookie new to the squad will be utility player Yario Muñoz, who came to the Cardinal organization in the Stephen Piscotty trade.
