Struggling Cardinals make lineup changes for Game 4 of the NLCS

The Cardinals are on the brink of elimination, and manager Mike Shildt is shuffling the lineup.

WASHINGTON — The Cardinals and manager Mike Shildt are shuffling up their lineup heading into Game 4 of the NLCS.

The Cardinals are down three games to none in the series, and face elimination on Tuesday night.

MLB.com has posted the lineups for Game 4, which show some noticeable changes.

Here's how it looks:

3B - Edman

RF - Martinez

1B - Goldschmidt

LF - Ozuna

C - Molina

SS - DeJong

CF - Bader

2B - Wong

Jose Martinez cracks the lineup for the second straight game, and moves up from fifth to second. He had two hits in Game 3.

Harrison Bader takes over for Dexter Fowler in center. Fowler is mired in a terrible slump, that culminated with three strikeouts in Game 3.

Tommy Edman moves into the leadoff spot that Fowler had been occupying.

The Cardinals will send Dakota Hudson to the mound to oppose Washington lefty Patrick Corbin.

With a win, the Nationals will advance to their first World Series in franchise history.
