There are annually more people to attend the Indy 500 than any sporting event in the world. There will be about 300,000 people in attendance this Sunday for the 101st running of America’s race.

Almost all of the 33 drivers who will be running at Indianapolis will also be competing at Gateway Motorsports Park for the Bommarito 500 on August 26th.

Tuesday is an off day at The Brickyard. All of the drivers get on planes and travel all over the country promoting the race.

In St. Louis, Ed Carpenter, who has three wins on ovals, and Takuma Sato, who won a Long Beach, came by our studios.

Sports Director Frank Cusumano sat them down for a candid interview on what it’s really like to be an Indy Car driver.
