ST. LOUIS -- A major development came down Wednesday in a lawsuit against the Rams filed by the city of St. Louis and St. Louis County.

A judge refused to dismiss the suit and the case is likely going to trial. The lawsuit, filed in April, claims the Rams breached their contract when the team relocated to Los Angeles.

They say the team decided to move before applying for relocation and misled the city about the possibility of staying.

A spokesperson for St. Louis County Executive Steve Stenger said the ruling is another step toward holding Stan Kroenke and the NFL accountable.
