95-year-old lifelong Blues fan attends first game

Mary also got to meet her favorite player in Blues history.

ST. LOUIS- Diehard Blues fan, Mary Walkenhorst attended her first Blues game at Scottrade Center on Thursday night.

The 95-year-old got upgraded floor glass seats and even met her favorite Blues player, Brett Hull.

The Hall of Famer stopped by to give Walkenhorst a personalized jersey.

"I told her to let me know how they (the seats) were at the end of the game because I've never been that close to the boards before," Hull said as he laughed.

Walkenhorst would keep up with the team by listening to the radio. She said she couldn't come out to the games when she had to start taking care of her 103-year-old mother.

The active 95-year-old shared a few tips to a healthy, long life.

"I never smoked, I never drank, I didn't swear, and I didn't get married. That's the best part," she said. "It kept me young."
