ST. LOUIS – U.S. Soccer announced the list of games for the Women’s National Team’s 2019 schedule leading into next summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup.

The countdown to the cup will run from January to May 2019, with the U.S. playing a total of 10 games – two in Europe followed by eight domestic before departing for France in pursuit of another World Cup title.

“We are very excited to bring the No. 1 women’s soccer team in the world, our U.S. women’s national team, back to Busch Stadium,” said Bill DeWitt III, President of the Cardinals. “St. Louis is fortunate but deserving to have landed one of the few matches in the build-up to the Women’s World Cup in June, and we know the passionate soccer fans of our city will show up to enthusiastically cheer on our team as it prepares to defend its title in France.”

The team will play in an exhibition match on May 16, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Busch Stadium.

The team first played at Busch Stadium in 2015 and defeated New Zealand 4-0. St. Louis native, Lori Chalupny scored in that match. The U.S. played in St. Louis three times prior to that including a 5-1 win against Mexico at the Edward Jones Dome in 2007, a 4-1 win against France in 1996 and a 1-1 tie against Germany in 1998 at St. Louis Soccer Park.
