Construction will bring closures to Halls Ferry Circle for the next few months

MoDOT will begin construction on parts of Halls Ferry Circle Monday to replace pavement and bring the area up to the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

ST. LOUIS — A construction project on Halls Ferry Circle will cause some traffic issues for the next few months.

MoDOT will begin construction on parts of Halls Ferry Circle Monday to replace pavement and bring the area up to the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The project will start with the east half of the circle and will cause the following traffic changes:

  • Close access to both directions of Halls Ferry Road on the southeast side of the circle.
  • Close the northbound lanes of Riverview on the south side of the circle, and use the southbound lanes for both directions of traffic.
  • Close access to both directions of Riverview Boulevard on the east side of the circle.
  • Close northbound lanes of Lewis and Clark Boulevard on the north side of the circle, and use the southbound lanes for both directions of traffic.

During this phase of construction, drivers going north on Riverview Boulevard will only be able to travel to Northbound Lewis and Clark Boulevard.

This phase is expected to be finished in early October. Crews will then begin to work on the West side of the circle.

Detour signs will be posted in the area to help drivers figure out how to navigate the construction site.
