ST. LOUIS — Further construction will be completed along Forest Park Parkway on Friday morning.
Beginning at 6 a.m., Forest Park Parkway from Big Bend to Skinker Boulevard will be closed to through traffic. The closure will shut down traffic on the streets through Monday, June 18. In addition, access for local traffic to Throp and Hoyt Drive will be maintained, Washington University in St. Louis said.
The construction is part of a project by Washington University to better accommodate pedestrians and cyclists. The project will replace the Forest Park Parkway bridge with "a new bridge that is wider, safer and easier to access."
The roadway will close one more time later this month, but the date has not yet been set.
