ST. LOUIS — A tractor-trailer carrying scrap metal overturned Thursday evening, closing lanes in both directions of Interstate 44 for hours.
The crash happened at around 3:30 near the Washington exit of I-44 near Downtown. The truck was traveling in the eastbound lane when it overturned, spilling some of its load onto the westbound lanes.
It was cleared at around 6:20.
One person was taken to the hospital
