It's clear this morning will be FRIGID! The wind is making things feel downright unpleasant with wind chills well blow zero.
Some areas will feel like -15 to -20 by daybreak.
Metro area will be between -5 and -10.
A wind chill advisory continues until Noon for our northern counties (does not include STL), but it will still feel like around -5 to 2 above through most of the day.
High temps only make it to about 12 to 15 above this afternoon.
We gradually improve through the week, with a nice dry stretch of weather through the end of the work week.
Compared to Sunday, the average temperature is going to feel spring like by Friday with highs in the low 40s. We'll see our next chance of precipitation sometime during the holiday weekend, the medium range forecast models differ on timing by about 12 hours.
So, we could see rain or a mix on Christmas Eve into Christmas Day.
