Tornado warnings threat shifts to counties east of St. Louis

Damaging winds and even a few tornadoes have been reported so far. The storms will likely maintain a significant severe threat as they move through the southern Illinois.

ST. LOUIS — Our most recently issued tornado warning was issued for Perry county Illinois until 9:45 p.m.

The severe weather threat in Missouri is now greatly reduced.  There is still a chance for stronger storms over the easternmost part of the 5 On Your Side viewing area.  As the night continues and the leading edge of the main line of storms moves farther east, the severe threat there will decrease too.
