Snow moves out of the area, but cold will stick around

Up to an inch of snow could accumulate around the area before the snow tapers off at around 7 or 8 p.m. for most of the St. Louis area.

ST. LOUIS — Light snow and cold temperatures made for dangerous driving conditions around the St. Louis area.

Some areas saw up to an inch of snow Sunday afternoon and evening. The snow tapered off for most of the area by 8 p.m. for most of the St. Louis area.

The areas to the southwest saw the snow linger a little while longer and saw heavier snow throughout the day.

Crashes were reported around the area, including a fatal crash on 270 near Dougherty Ferry.

As for the cold, overnight lows will be near 13 degrees.
