The severe thunderstorm warnings for the St. Louis area have been dropped.
The line of storms moving through central Missouri into Metro St. Louis have weakened from 60 -70 mph wind gusts to 40 - 50 mph gusts. However, the storms are still capable of producing heavy rainfall and cloud to ground lightning.
After the main line of storms, there will be a lingering rain with occasional lightning to take us into the midday.
