ST. LOUIS — A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for areas north of St. Louis until 11 p.m.
Scattered severe storms have already developed as of 4:45 p.m. across parts of northeast Missouri into west central Illinois. Hail larger than quarters has been reported with these storms.

The time frame for the worst weather will be Saturday evening from roughly 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The main threats will be damaging, gusty winds in excess of 60 m.p.h. and large hail.
From Blues to Cardinals to the many graduation events happening this evening, stay alert for rapidly changing weather conditions.
Storms will clear the area after midnight.
