ST. LOUIS — A complex of thunderstorms will bring lightning, brief heavy rain and gusty winds to the St. Louis area through midday Sunday.
While widespread severe weather is not forecast, a couple of storms may briefly bring severe winds and small hail.
Metro St. Louis will be impacted between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., with lingering showers and storms into southern Illinois and southeast Missouri through 1 p.m. Sunday.

Once these storms clear, expect a mainly dry afternoon with mostly cloudy weather. High temperatures today will be near 80 degrees.
Expect a heat wave to build into metro St. Louis starting Monday. The heat will last through Thursday, with afternoon high temperatures in the lower to middle 90s.
