ST. LOUIS — Two young children were in a car when their mother was robbed while trying to sell drugs, police said. It happened in the Tower Grove South neighborhood.

Officers responded to the 3900 block of McDonald at 1:15 a.m. Thursday.

Two women, ages 24 and 25, told police they went to the neighborhood to sell drugs to two men. When they got there, the men pulled out a gun and robbed them. They took off with a lot of money, St. Louis police said.

The 24-year-old woman’s 1-year-old daughter and 8-month-old son were in the car at the time. No one was hurt.

The women were taken into custody; the men are still wanted.

Both men were described as being in their mid-20s. One of them was heavier, with a black coat and blue jeans. The other man was thin, with an orange hoodie and red knit hat.

Police said they are continuing to investigate.
