Corn Maze Craze!

It's a simple thing yet so much fun, cruising through a maze of cornstalks! Jerry Kirk owns one of the newest corn mazes in Eureka, Missouri. It's part of what he calls Brookdale Farm.

The former policeman didn't know much about creating a corn maze but found a company in Utah that specializes in designing and "cutting out" corn mazes. Jerry Kirk's 12-acre cornfield of dreams. The design incorporates support for fellow officers, firemen and the Backstoppers organization. Luckily, in this maze, you can always pull out your cell phone and do a little "corn texting" to find your way.

Brookdale Farm has more than one reason to visit in the coming months. The kids love the little train ride, the hay rides and soon they'll be a petting zoo full of animals. The farm is open to schools for field trips during the weekdays. The corn maze will be "haunted" on weekend nights in October.
