LEBANON, Mo. (AP) -- Deputies say they have turned over to prosecutors video surveillance and other evidence showing that two adults provided alcohol to a Lebanon teenager who died.
Laclede County Sheriff Richard Wrinkle said authorities have questioned the two and believe they got alcohol for a group of minors. One of them, he said, was 16-year-old Perry McClenahan, who died of an apparent alcohol overdose on April 18.
Wrinkle said the adults are not related to McClenahan, who was a student at Lebanon High School. The sheriff also said authorities know where the adults purchased the alcohol and have video surveillance tapes and store receipts as evidence.
Wrinkle said he believes the two should face charges ranging from supplying alcohol to a minor to involuntary manslaughter. When charges might be filed remains unclear.
