KSDK -- The flag-draped casket of a fallen St. Louis soldier arrived home Monday morning.

28-year-old Sgt. Christopher Cooper was killed last month while serving in Iraq. Dozens of members of the National Guard and the Patriot Guard stood at attention as Sgt. Christopher Cooper's casket arrived in St. Louis.

Cooper's family said he was on tour in Iraq at the time of his death.  The Department of Defense said he died in a non-combat related incident but so far they will not say how he died.

The incident is still under investigation.

Cooper is a graduate of Fox High School in Jefferson County. After graduation, he joined the Marines. He later joined the Army.

Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m at Lord Funeral Home on Telegraph Road.

His funeral will be held at Lord Funeral Home at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
