A man cave that's almost as good as being at Scottrade Center

A passion for Blue's hockey

Google Dennis Minner Photography and amazing images begin popping up.

"I call it second chance photography. Those are suitcases that have been sitting there since 1965 when the asylum actually closed," Minner explains.

They're incredible photographs he started taking back in 2009 of abandoned buildings, but that's not what led us to Dennis Minner.

"This is the lobby!"

Minner Arena is.

"I think my wife and anyone who knows me would clearly call it an obsession."

He hasn't always been a die hard Blue's fan.

"I was born and raised in Southeast Missouri I don't even think anyone knew what hockey was," he says.

But things changed when he went to college.

"I went to Southeast Missouri State and all of my fraternity brothers were all into hockey."

He fell in love with the game and when he moved into this house he saw an opportunity.

"This is a glimpse of what I imagined," he points out.

Minner Arena officially opened in July of 2016 and although it looks finished it will always be a work in progress.

"Everyday it seems like I'm adding stuff to it."

Autographed sticks, helmets, pucks and pictures, however, not much can top the to scale rink.

"The floor, I never thought I'd need all the geometry and calculus I earned in college. I actually found all the exact measurements from Scottrade Center because each rink is a little different," he explains.

He also has glass from Scottrade.

"Just being able to see the scuff marks and things like that, even puck marks."

He also has goal lights and a horn.

"It's the real Scottrade Center horn it's not some imitation," he adds.

The place even has sponsors..

"I mean Two Shamrocks Pub, Urban Chestnut, Imo's Pizza."

It is the ultimate fan cave with a coffee table he made out of Ott's sticks.

"Those are expensive, expensive sticks and I'm thinking I can't believe I'm tearing these up."

It turned out perfectly as did the entire fan cave. Even the fish tank has a Scottrade backdrop. So it should come as no surprise that even players have been impressed by the place.

It's a space oddly enough he didn't have to face off with his wife about.

"She's got the top two levels of the house. I'll I wanted was the basement."

A man cave that is hard to top.

"Yeah we've got our own pucks, our own t-shirts, all that kind of stuff that has our logo," he adds.

So you may never get a ticket into Minner Arena, but you now know it exists.
