Bayer's $62.5 billion acquisition of St. Louis-based Monsanto cleared another hurdle Tuesday when Indian regulators announced they had approved the deal.
Bayer is expected to close the deal this quarter, which will give it control of more than 25 percent of the world's seed and pesticides market, according to Reuters.
Monsanto and Bayer have Indian subsidiaries and were required to obtain approval from the country's competition commission.
