James Comey, Jay Leno, others to speak in St. Louis as part of Speaker Series

Each speaker event will be held at Powell Hall in the Midtown neighborhood near Saint Louis University.

ST. LOUIS — James Comey, Jay Leno, Gloria Steinem, Jeb Bush and several other notable personalities were announced for the upcoming St. Louis Speakers Series season.

The St. Louis Speakers Series, presented by Maryville University, begins the season on Tuesday, October 9, with former FBI Director James Comey. Comey, fired by Pres. Trump last May, will be speaking on the heels of his book release, "A Higher Loyalty," to be released on April 17.

Then, on Tuesday, November 13, journalist and political brings activist Gloria Steinem to St. Louis. Steinem, an internationally recognized icon of the women's liberation movement, has helped launch multiple organizations which help to advocate for women's rights.

Two months later on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, former governor of Florida and presidential candidate Jeb Bush will speak, followed by comedian and former host of NBC's "The Tonight Show" from 1992 to 2014 on Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Other guests include neuroscientist Lisa Genova, Equal Justice Initiative founder Bryan Stevenson, and Eurasia Group founder Ian Bremmer. Each speaker event will be held at Powell Hall in the Midtown neighborhood near Saint Louis University.
