ST. LOUIS - One woman is trying to fight a disease that 5 million Americans are living with right now.

Daisy Duarte lives in Springfield, Missouri, and comes to Washington University as a part of a study. At age 41, she shows no symptoms, but she knows her future. She sees it in her mother every day.

Families living with Alzheimer’s can contact the Alzheimer’s Association 24/7 Helpline — (800) 272-3900 — for information, local resources and emotional support. More information is available at alz.org. You can also sign up for the Walk to End Alzheimer's here.
