STLFD put out fire at abandoned home in Old North St. Louis

There was a report of a person trapped in the home, but firefighters said they did not find anyone during a search.

ST. LOUIS — The St. Louis Fire Department worked to put out a fire in Old North St. Louis Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to the intersection of Benton Street and Blair Avenue at around 3:45. When they arrived, they found an abandoned home with flames burning through the roof.

There was a report of a person trapped in the home, but firefighters said they did not find anyone during a search.
