ST. LOUIS- Firefighters extinguished a fire at an apartment building after a woman accidentally placed a cigarette that was still lit into a trash can underneath the ktichen sink.
The fire was on the second floor of Maryville Gardens, a senior living center located on Nebraska Avenue, according to the St. Louis Fire Department.
St. Louis fire department assessed four patients for smoke inhalation.
