ST. LOUIS COUNTY -- A man has been charged in connection with a quadruple homicide that occurred in Glasgow Village on August 24.

According to a statement from police, Ja'Vonne Dupree, 20, allegedly shot and killed the victims, robbed them of electronics and clothing and picked up multiple shell casings before fleeing the scene in one of the victim's cars with the stolen items.

The four victims in the shooting were Patricia Steward, 56, her two sons, Joseph Corely, 20, and Terrence Dehart, 10, and Deandre Kelley Jr., 18.

Angelia Jones, mother of Kelley Jr., received a phone call about the arrest on Friday. It was one of the few moments of joy she had in the last couple of months.

“I'm on the floor. I'm crying. I'm shouting. I'm jumping, just praising god,” she said.

Jones said the person behind these killings should never see the light of day again.

Dupree was charged with four counts of first degree murder, four counts of robbery, nine counts of armed criminal action, burglary, stealing a vehicle and tampering with evidence.
