When students in the Hillsboro School District want a snow day, they apparently know what to do.

With winter weather blowing through the St. Louis area, many schools in the area canceled after-school activities and some were canceling classes for Friday.

In an apparent attempt to improve the chances of a snow day in the Hillsboro R-III School District, students left some treats on Superintendent Doc C. Cornman's desk.

Some other students at Hillsboro High School went a different route, making a music video and posting it on YouTube.

At the time of this writing, sporting events at the school were canceled for Thursday night but classes for Friday have not been canceled.
