An 18-year-old driver was killed and his three male passengers were injured and hospitalized in a single-car crash in north St. Louis County Wednesday night.
The St. Louis County Police Department said the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. on Vickie Place. The car was going south when it ran off the road and struck a tree.
Demond Spruill, the 18-year-old driver, was pronounced dead on the scene. The injured passengers were two 17-year-olds and one 18-year-old. They were taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
