David Matthew Derigne, a 55-year-old Chesterfield resident, was charged with assault and armed criminal action in connection with the Monday evening incident.

Police said they were called to the area of I-64 and the Mason Road overpass at around 6:50. A witness told them Derigne was shooting a gun out of his white Chevrolet pick-up truck toward another car.
