ST. LOUIS — A teen was hospitalized after being shot Wednesday night in downtown St. Louis.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, a 16-year-old boy was shot in the leg shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday near Lombard and South 4th streets, just blocks away from Busch Stadium.
Police said the teen was conscious and breathing when he was dropped off at an area hospital by a private vehicle. The teen had stable vital signs while receiving treatment Thursday.
As of Thursday morning, police had not said what led up to the shooting or whether any arrests had been made.
