DES PERES, Mo. – Protests continued Sunday afternoon, closing West County Mall for about 30 minutes.

A statement from West County Mall said protesters entered the mall at 4:15, leading stores to close. Mall security and police escorted them off the property, and stores reopened about 30 minutes later.

This is not the first protest on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. On Friday, seven people — including State Representative Bruce Franks — were arrested after protests closed the Galleria Mall for about an hour.

Protesters were part of the boycott and protests in response to the Jason Stockley ruling made earlier this year.
