Thousands more shirts printed for Officer O'Connor fundraiser

The shirts will be for sale at all Syberg’s locations and Helen Fitzgerald’s Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

A T-shirt fundraiser for Officer Ryan O’Connor sold out in just half an hour last weekend, so now organizers are busy printing thousands more.

"Hopefully our customers will understand that we're going to be a little behind on their orders,” said David Passanise, the owner of Maestro Screen Printing.

Passanise and his workers will spend the next two days printing a rush order of 5,000 T-shirts and 1,000 hoodies for Officer O’Connor, who was shot last week.

"The police go out knowing something like this could happen, but no one ever thinks it's going to be them,” Mike Simms, the fundraiser’s organizer, said.

Because Simms’ first fundraiser sold out so quickly, he’s having six times as many made this round.

"This is big. This shows the men and women that are wearing a uniform that there’s people out there that care and love them still,” he said

The shirts will be for sale at all Syberg’s locations and Helen Fitzgerald’s Saturday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

T-shirts costs $20 and hoodies cost $35.
