St. Louis forecast: Strong storms early Tuesday morning

Weather Alert for strong storms possible early Tuesday morning. Another round of storms for Wednesday afternoon and evening.

ST. LOUIS — Monday starts off with spotty showers, but rain wraps up by lunchtime with some late-day sunshine.  Tuesday starts off with storms along with gusty winds, but those should clear away by the afternoon with warmer temperatures expected. Wednesday another round of storms are possible and some of those could produce large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes. Both days are Weather Alert Days due to the potential of impactful weather.

Wednesday's system has the potential of bringing stronger storms, especially by the afternoon and evening. Make sure you have a way to receive weather warnings. The severe weather risk clears Thursday as temperatures come back down closer to seasonal averages.

We'll kick off the weekend with dry weather, but another chance of rain is possible by Saturday. Some of those showers could linger into Sunday, but the rain chance seems fairly low. That system will scoot by to our southeast, keeping clouds around and perhaps another shower chance from Monday and Tuesday.
